I’ve always chased after feelings of connection, to people, to places, to all the life moving around me. I’m fascinated by the ways we engage with the world around us, and that curiosity has shaped my early career, which has been focused on creating content with the purpose of connecting people to information and one another. My work has never solely been about chasing numbers, but the process of trying to understand people, the choices they make, and effectively communicating the information they deserve to know back to them.
I'm a writer and audience development strategist currently studying Strategic Communication as a Roy H. Park Fellow at the UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media. Outside of graduate school, I'm a freelance writer covering culture, wellness, and sports. My writing has been featured on The Week, Bustle, MindBodyGreen, Reader’s Digest, Inside Lacrosse, and more.
Before entering graduate school, I worked in Manhattan for The Week as the Social Media Editor and later became the website’s first Head of Audience Development. Although Chapel Hill, NC is now where I rest my head, Upstate New York will always be home. I grew up in a small town outside of Syracuse, NY and attended Le Moyne College to study Communications. While at Le Moyne, I was a part of the Integral Honors and Creative Writing programs, spearheaded the college newspaper as its Editor in Chief, and played midfield for the women’s lacrosse team.
Writing and creating engaging content is my passion, and I hope it will always be a part of the work I do. As I’ve stated, I love connecting with people so feel free to email me. I oddly enjoy receiving emails and pride myself on responding quickly.
